Rider notes

Mostly use it for freeride. And a little cruising and carving around here and there, the deck being big and having minimal concave gives you all the room in the world to relax and the surfiness of the Valks just makes it a joy to cruise and carve around on.

Pros

Big, stable, surfy, very forgiving slides

Cons

It's heavy Being big and having minimal concave could be a con depending on the person

Why it works

It's a big stiff deck with surfy trucks and slidey wheels

What I would change

Maybe some Venom kegs + Venom tall barrels instead of mostly Kranks? Venoms have less rebound than Kranks which sounds nice and I've heard good things about that combo in DH Valks. Maybe wheels with a little more edge grip?

Do you find that the fatcones restrict lean as the turn ramps up? I'm considering trying some in my Valkyries since I get wheel bite a little easier than I'd like. Running fat cones BS seems like it'd take care of that. Great setup :)

Yep, that's exactly why I use them. I prefer the way tall barrels all around feel but unfortunately it was wheel biting too easily. Tried going up a color in hardness with the BS barrels and it fixed the problem but felt a little stiff. Tried tall fatcones BS instead and it did the trick without feeling stiff.
