Rider notes

Won the deck as part of an Instagram contest with Virtual Slide Jam and Rocket for teaching someone to slide. Been using it to try shorter wheelbases than I am used to, and try our narrower trucks (160mm Lite Rey's, 50/30 130 Bear Gen 6, Rebirth R1 131mm) before settling on the 150mm Cast Valks. Deck has great comfortable concave, I pushed 105km in one day on it due to my main pushing board getting confiscated by park Rangers the day before and did not cramp up or find it uncomfortable at all. Super fun board for working on my stand up heels and squats.

Pros

Super comfortable concave Cast Valks valks are a cheat code for slide control 75a Snakes are a cheat code for sliding Trucks are nimble and stable

Cons

Tuning and finding the correct bushing combo took time. Stock 92a bushings feel harder than other formula 93a. Found that even with the 92a stock kept loose I would have wheels lifting off the ground when at the end my lean at times. When too soft of a bushing setup is used the trucks felt unstable as it got up in the 40-50km/h range when at 42°/42° and 50°/50°

Why it works

19"-21.5" wheelbase means you can still stick towards the "longer" end of the short wheelbases folks are running. I'm around 20.5-21" and find it perfect.

What I would change

Would like to try 130mm Cast Valk hangers when they become available as 130mm Bears and Rebirths were good fun on it, however 150mm does feel like the sweet spot for slide release.

Woah! Free + freerides like hell + does LDP as well? That's awesome! By the way, I hope you reclaimed your main pushing board.
